SourceOne Property Restoration Group Supports the Community Through Thanksgiving Food Drives

Food Drive Drop off at The Pantry of Broward

For SourceOne Property Restoration Group, giving back to the community is an important part of our mission. This year, we proudly organized two successful Thanksgiving food drives benefiting The Pantry of Broward, an organization devoted to fighting hunger and supporting families in need across Broward County.

Hunters NightClub and the November 6th Event

On November 6th, SourceOne partnered with Hunters Night Club in Wilton Manors to host the first food drive. Community members gathered from 4 PM to 8 PM to donate essential Thanksgiving items like canned goods, stuffing, and pie crusts. Hunters, a well-loved local venue, has long been a hub for bringing people together, and their support helped amplify the event’s impact by creating a welcoming environment for donors.

Mills Pond Park: November 17th Softball Food Drive Success

The second event, held on November 17th at Mills Pond Park in Fort Lauderdale and was part of softball Sunday with the SFAAA (The South Florida Amatuer Athletic Association)  saw another wave of generosity from the community. Running from 9 AM to 12 PM, this drive attracted the various softball teams and their families, friends and individuals eager to contribute. SourceOne is one of the softball leagues’ many sponsors and Mill Ponds Park provided the perfect backdrop for this community initiative.

Recognizing Key Sponsors

This year’s food drives were made possible by a strong partnership with local sponsors:

They host social events and fundraising initiatives to benefit the local LGBTQ community and beyond. BOSFL’s programs include various activities like cruises and bowling nights while supporting local causes through donations and grants. Known for its welcoming atmosphere and diverse programming, it serves as a community hub with activities like karaoke, trivia nights, and happy hours. The club emphasizes inclusivity and fun, making it a standout destination for nightlife in South Florida. Learn more about  Hunters Nightclub.

The South Florida Amateur Athletic Association (SFAAA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting inclusiveness and fostering a supportive community through competitive softball leagues. Celebrating over 30 years of excellence, it provides recreational opportunities for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, emphasizing sportsmanship and camaraderie. SFAAA organizes various tournaments, league games, and community events, including fundraisers that benefit local charities. The league is renowned for its involvement in the Gay Softball World Series and other national events, highlighting its commitment to both athletic and community development. SourceOne has been a league sponsor over the past several years. Learn more at SFAAA’s website.

The Pantry of Broward: A Lifeline for the Community

Our food drives were dedicated to supporting The Pantry of Broward, an incredible nonprofit organization that provides monthly food boxes to over 600 families in need. Their work extends beyond food distribution—they also assist with housing and legal applications, ensuring that struggling families and seniors in Broward County have the resources they need to thrive. Partnering with such a vital organization was an honor for SourceOne.

The Impact: A Community Comes Together

The events not only showcased the power of collaboration but also underscored the deep sense of community in Fort Lauderdale.
